Russia is the largest country in the world, and its capital is Moscow, which is also its largest city.

It is partially in Europe and partially in Asia.

When the Soviet Union existed, it was its core. The Soviet Union also included Kazahkstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and many other countries which are now independant countries.

Rambo FilmsEdit

It was the main antagonist of Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo III.

The Soviet Union banned the release of the second and third films, and were also Vietnam's greatest ally after the war, so Rambo II was very factual. The Soviet Union also wond up pulling out of Afghanistan just little over a week of the release of Rambo III. Unlike Vietnam, which was the Soviet Union's ally, John Rambo never has actually been to the country. The closest he has been is Afghanistan, where he launched a one man war on the Soviets and their brutal commander.

Description and HistoryEdit

The Soviet symbol are two yellow hands carrying a yellow hammer and sickle, which symbolizes the communist ideals, farming and industry. The red backdrop on the flag and the symbol has led to the army being known worldwide as the "Red Army". The Soviet Union was responsible for introducing communism to Vietnam, which it still has today, and for creating North Korea. It was an atheist country that repressed it's people. It was anti-capitalist and was against freedom which put it at odds with the United States. The Soviet Union was a long time enemy of the United States from 1946 to 1991. A period known as the Cold War. The highest point of the Cold War was the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. The last leader of the Soviet Union, Mickhail Gorbechav, was open to Westernization and was less communist. He and the US president, Ronald Reagan, were best friends and Gorbechav not only tore down the Berlin Wall, but also set in motion the events that would eventually lead to the Soviet Union's disbantion into individual countries and the collapse of the empire. They collapsed in December, 1991.
