- "No one knows exactly. They were supposed to return 10 days ago, but they never came back. I requested help from the embassy, but they can't help. Not in Burma, and not in time."
- ―Reverand Arthur Marsh to John Rambo.
He was portrayed by Ken Howard.
Arthur Marsh oversaw the Christian missionaries go into Burma to distribute humanitarian aid to the Karen tribespeople, but came to Southeast Asia when he discovered they had been abducted by the Burmese Tatmadaw Army. After the missionaries went missing for two weeks, Marsh mortgaged his home and raised funds from the congregation so he could hire a group of mercenaries to bring them back. Marsh traveled to Southeast Asia because the day the group went missing, Michael Burnett had notified him that they were traveling from John Rambo's boat. He said that it was very important and stated that he knew the missionaries were alive, because the Karen Freedom Fighters told him where they were taken. He hired a team of mercenaries to rescue them and asked John Rambo to transport them down the Salween River, stating that they were ready to leave when he was, as he knew the exact spot they were dropped off.
Extended Cut PrayerEdit
"Yes. Lord, make me your instrument of peace. Where there is hatred, let me bring love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy. Grant that I may not seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love, for it is in giving that we receive. It is in dying that we awake to eternal life. "
