Rambo with a Molotov
A Molotov cocktail (Finnish: Polttopullo or Molotovin koktaili), also known as a petrol bomb, bottle bomb, poor man's grenade, fire bomb or just Molotov, is a generic name used for a variety of bottle-based improvised incendiary weapons, usually a glass bottle filled with gasoline or some other flammable liquid and a rag serving as a wick.
Due to the relative ease of production, Molotov cocktails have been used by street criminals, protesters, rioters, gangsters, anarchists, urban guerrillas, terrorists, irregular soldiers, or even regular soldiers short on equivalent military-issue weapons. They are primarily intended to set targets ablaze rather than obliterate them.
