The Ligget County Sheriff's Department is the main law enforcement for the fictional Ligget County, Washington. They appear to be headquartered in Hope.
The department served as the primary antagonistic force of First Blood, as several of the deputies were abusive and bigoted country dwellers (some with prior criminal records) that brutalize their prisoners, which led to it's partial destruction. While most of the deputies are antagonizing, there are few that appear more friendly than the others such as Mitch, Lester and Preston.
