Leroy is an employee of the Ligget County Sheriff's Department and a minor character in First Blood

First Blood[edit | edit source]

Leroy is seen painting the hallway and Art Galt remarks that "Ol' Leroy" is going to take "ten years" to finish painting the hall and then disparagingly told him to "sling that paint, boy". Leroy is never seen again. It is unclear as to whether or not Leroy is a deputy for the county doing some painting or merely a handyman working in the building.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The character of Leroy was added in because the set designers were not going to be finished painting the hallway until after filming needed to begin. To solve this problem, the filmmakers simply incorporated the hallway being painted into the film. This actually helped the realism of the story to further emphasize how mundane the day was until Rambo arrived.
